    Bright-orange matte glaze with black speckles, pottery has markings of "Modern Design" D8 USA. I have been unable to find an attribution for it, though it resembles mid-century Architectural Pottery...purchased in California. 8.5" wide at top, recessed base is 6.25" in diameter, 5.5" in height. Nice piece, adds vibrant color, looks good against teak and walnut. Anyone know about Modern Design pottery?
