    This is a 14K gold mechanical slide pencil that I believe to be over 100 years old, as it was my uncles. It becomes a foot long ruler and measures 13 inches when fully extended. The inscription is R.DeG. I'd love to learn more about the history of this item. Thanks!

      I have the silver version of this. I will have to check the marking on mine but my research placed them around 1940's era. You will find them commonly listed for anywhere from $10 to $60.
