This clamshell is almost 9 inches long. i guess this is an ink drawing of a dragon in clouds inside it. the weird thing is that the dragon itself appears to be drawn on another shell which was then carefully cut out and glued into this one. there were two shells, but i dropped the other and it broke. darn!

Are the dragon & clouds applied to a transparent layer, I can see that they are casting a shadow over the base layer?
The dragon could be mother of pearl.

That stinks! I broke one of my lamps in a black Friday frenzie. LOL I still have it.
