Thrift Shop find -- it's 10 inches tall, didn't weigh it but it's got some weight to it. Saw it, liked it, bought it. Researched it -- not the best news, I found one identical to it on ebay, being offered for a whopping $1. True Story. (So thankful that I didn't pay much more than that LOL.)
I find the signature/mark kinda resembles that of the Rosenthal/Netter stuff, only it seems they put "Italy" only, and not the "made in Italy".
I know pottery imported from Italy may be impossible to identify, but before I put this one to rest I wanted to check with the CW Pottery Experts -- if anyone recognizes this or has any suggestions for research, please let me know. Sean, I'm curious though and always trying to learn -- what are the indicators? And what would this paint technique be called, do you know? I am also curious as to what this jug shape would be called, and what the jug would be used for? Sorry, I'm asking a gazillion questions LOL - I am like a sponge, just trying to soak up all the knowledge I can!

The technique is sponge ware or spatter ware :-)

I agree with kyratango, that is what this technique is call on this one you have and there are a lot of variations .
