TY to Kyra for that term!!

These are glass, jet beads (?) that came in a box with items ranging from 'Made in Occupied Japan' to 'Made in Western Germany'. So I would guess from the early 40's to the 80's. These weren't wrapped. I don't know what else to tell you about them but any info you may have would be appreciated!!

The second are white glass and were wrapped in the Western Germany paper.

I've got quite a few things to list...my friend and I are learning as quickly as possible and we thank you so much for your help!!

One more thing...the front opening of the black pieces are oddly shaped. I just noticed that. I don't know if it'll help ID, but I wanted to point it out.

Black ones seem to be onyx, not glass, because of the unpolished matt back, but I may be wrong (better to have them in hand to see if they are molded or cut!).
The odd front hole is to insert a metal inlaid stone :-)
White are glass, for earrings or buttons, I think.
Keep on posting them, please, I love this stuff!

Glass and marcasites were the costume jewellery versions of these.
