I purchased this from an Op shop for 50cents I loved the colour of it and as I have no experience with antiques or vintage items I always buy things that appeal to me sometimes by the way it looks or feels. It may have no value like many things I seem to gather. It has the number 538 on the bottom/German and a small gold marking.

It is a smooth finish , coloured brown and a beautiful green/blue.

If anyone can tell me about that would be great.

It is 1950s or 1960s. I see many of these types of pots in the thrift stores, as I live 15 minutes from the German border. 538 is the mold/design number.

This one is an especially nice example. I prefer the smaller ones, like this one, to the big and clunky ones!
