This bottle is encased in what appears to be pewter. The glass is clear and there are no identifying marks. The base is approximately 3" in diameter and the overall height is about 8". The top is threaded, but the cap is missing. It was found in Baltimore, MD in a brick pile used for restoration. Weight is 2.25 lbs.
Surprising that it's in such good condition! Very nice find.
On the glass bottle, do you see any seams (vertical lines( going up to the top?
There are no visible seams on the bottle. In addition, there is no apparent way to remove the metal shroud. I checked the weight and it comes in at 2.25 lbs. Pretty substantial.
I'd guess circa-1900. What did the bricks say?
The bricks tell no tales!
Some older ones say things, like I.B.Co.
Fun find, though.
