    This probably a newer piece, not sure. Anyone ever see this mark before ??
    Its made of cast iron-metal and has great patina. Nice scrolling motif also highlights this dish

      Can you zoom in on the farthest mark and post a photo of that? Exchange the MEI photo with that one. It looks like an impressed mark, which makes me wonder if it might be a clue.

      Well, that is strange. The circles look to be the same size but with different patterns.
      No idea what might have made those marks. Maybe someone else will recognize something.

      I think they look to be areas where possibly glue was used to attach this piece to another..........No secret mystery........
