This probably a newer piece, not sure. Anyone ever see this mark before ??
Its made of cast iron-metal and has great patina. Nice scrolling motif also highlights this dish

Looks somewhat like Gothic Revival. My kind of decorator piece!
What are those other two round marks just to the right of MEI ?
You know possibly this was part of a larger piece and those 2 marks are where this piece was attached to the other..........(maybe)...Thx Efes

Can you zoom in on the farthest mark and post a photo of that? Exchange the MEI photo with that one. It looks like an impressed mark, which makes me wonder if it might be a clue.

Well, that is strange. The circles look to be the same size but with different patterns.
No idea what might have made those marks. Maybe someone else will recognize something.
I think they look to be areas where possibly glue was used to attach this piece to another..........No secret mystery........
