    I really don't know much about this piece. It seems to be a table runner or a scarf. It measures approx 102 inches or 2590 mm long and 18 inches or 457 mm across. There are several figures wearing what appears to be mid 19th century formal dress (see Photo). At the other end is what appears to be a Moor on horseback. I believe the cloth is hand woven and the fringe is hand knotted. Any information on this would be appreciated.

      What a marvelous work!
      You are right for the outfits/dress beeing 1840' :-)
      I was thinking a stole/scarf from same era, but noticed the fringe (marvelous hand work too!) is present on an oly end of the piece...
      Hope someone will help more :-)
