I found this in my grandmothers sewing things. I remember playing with it as a child but I am now using it all the time

I also have a bunch of buttons! Thread spools that are wooden that I would love to see about!!!
How nice to get to use Grandma's pin cushion. Just imagine what she was sewing when she used it!
It can be hard to date these but it looks brass and possibly Victorian. I
