This is a vintage picture from the ancient early 1990s. From before the merger of Santa Fe and Burlington Northern.
In this Santa Fe 500, a Dash 8 was leading a freight train through the Cajon Pass. That is my neighborhood as the Cajon Pass goes through the mountain range where I live.
The photo was taken at the Mormon Rocks area just west of I15.
I added a couple more photos I took at Summit which is the highest point of the Cajon Pass.

I have photographed the BNSF many times as the yard where it stops is near the Bay Park in my hometown. Thanks for sharing this photo, fortapache. :)
