So I saw this curious bowl in a shop yesterday and brought it home on a whim. Crackle glass with three indents. 6 1/2". Maybe the glass people can help with ID? I hope you enjoyed seeing it, and thanks for looking.
Thanks for the love, brunswick, and AnnaB. :)
Well Katherine, That is truly interesting. I really love the crackle glass and the interesting shape!

Scott, thanks, it is an interesting shape! :)
Crackle glass was pretty popular in the mid century and these squeezed or thumb print shapes were too. I know Blenko did it but so did the Italians in some number.
It is available now from China but the squeezing makes me think it is an older piece.
I love the look and idea of crackle glass - all those stress fractures!
Thanks, Karen, I was hoping someone would mention the possibility of Blenko as all my research kept leading me to them. I'm not expert enough to say whether or not this is or isn't Blenko, but the clues as I see them are there, the crackle, the pontil, and the indents seem to match to my eye, anyway. And yes, I love crackle too, it looks so pretty with a candle inside, though not sure I could put a candle in this bowl. :) The ice effect!
Thanks for the love, aura. :)

That is awesome. I love it. :)
Your pictures are almost too good to compare anything too.
