Dear sir,
I have this ring and it come from my father's uncle who live abroad. It is a gold ring and I don't know how much percentage of gold in this. cross sign on its face and eagle and us symbol on both side. I want to know about this ring and how much worth in international market.
Please help me to solve this unsolved puzzle
Dear sir
If you got any information related to this please email me. I shall be highly thankful.
Sorry but there are no appraisers on Collector's Weekly. You need to take this ring to a reputable jeweler for an appraisal.
It's possible some of the people here familiar with military insignia might know something about the ring, can you offer more information, where the uncle lived and when, and post another picture and/or describe any hallmarks. As far as ring or gold value, as Efesgirl says, a jeweler might be able to tell you more. Good luck!
The date is most likely "1775"-- the year that the US Army is considered to have been formed (Continental Army).
The Army Seal is usually found in post WW2 items. The brass appearance vs. sterling would also be more indicative of post WW2 and was popular in Korean War items.
The ring is heavily worn, so assuming it is not a precious metal its value is very minimal-- less than $20.
Take a look on ebay to see price specifics.
