AFRICAN SAND PAINTING

Now this wonderful mother and child painting is rather unexpected as I was not familiar with African sand art of any kind until I saw this at a yard sale and couldn't believe it was sand,it glitters in different colors depending on how the light hits it, sometimes it looks reddish and sometimes it has a blueish in tone, I think the artist signature reads YAW BOAT or YAW SOAT, though I'm not positive that this is the artist name.
