Would anyone know of a website or book that would show me the manufactures stamps of old chisels ?
I have found a few old wood chisels in a box from my Granddads tool collection and would like to track down the manufacturer of each.
The one shown in the above picture is in rough shape and has been beat with a hammer at some point but I like a challenge. I have darkened up the area in which I can see some lettering, if you hold your tongue just so and look thru a magnifying glass, and have shown these as black text.
If anyone can see something else or can guess some of the next letters it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you for your time.

Can't see much in the pictures and no dimensions but the thickness of the steel in pic #2 would lead me to think it is a timber slip.

fhrjr2....not much to see unless I can get the light to reflect just right. I have updated the photos for dimensional purposes.

I was pretty much looking at whether the handle was socketed or solid steel. Can't see if this one is hollow but it is certainly well mushroomed from striking it. The markings I don't know except there should have been a number after the UTF. That would indicate the quality/strength of the steel.

Well...it is a socketed chisel and I have taken another picture to see if anyone can see anything in it.
