I came across this pretty covered bowl yesterday afternoon and decided it was worth $2.50. Surprisingly, there is no damage or crazing. Just a very tiny bit of rubbing on the gold trim. Have to look closely to see it. I have other Rosenthal pieces, but nothing of this age. I couldn't find another on Google Images, so don't yet know the pattern name or what it's purpose was, although I expect it was part of a larger service. About 22 inches around.
Thanks for looking, CW friends!
Very nice find! And what an incredible bargain!
Very stylish....I saw a great Rosenthal oval bowl at Savers the other day. It had really nice figures with instruments painted on it almost cartoonish, but very well done and colorful. Just a little out of my price range though...and they call the store Savers???...lol
Savers, eh? It's too bad the "thrift"prices in the states are so high for many items. They think they're running antique and artifacts shops....
What an exquisite bowl, Bonnie! :)
This looks close, but there was no pattern name and no bowl to match.
