She is a reproduction of a Kestner Hilda doll not a original Antique doll :-( Made in 1980's -90's . They used antique doll mold which left the embossed markings of antique dolls in ceramic class's you would paint her and dress , they also sold bodies and wigs ect. This was a popular hobby during that time period .
. The person who painted her should have put their name or initials on her but sometimes they did not although required .

You can tell a repro at a glance :-(
oh and her mold number reads 294 when I see it not 190 :-)
Manikin - the link is for Jadanov...I know you know your dolls! :-D
I know efesgirl :-) But it does not do any good to know mold numbers only but you have to know difference in repro and original and one has to study antique doll painting. quality of bisque and body type ect to know the fakes .I always suggest going to a doll museum and study the look of them . I understood your link to her but she also thought mold number was 190 so would not have helped . Always glad to hear you chime in it is nice to have a fellow doll person :-)
Thanks again. Do you recommend that I wash and iron her clothes? Also, I'd still like to have her restrung, any ideas of the type of place I'd go for this?
Manikin - I am mainly a Barbie and Estrela Suzi doll person. I also like the 1940s/1950s baby dolls. I have an old one I will post on here tomorrow. Not sure which decade she is from. :-)
Jadanov you can wash her clothes if they need it in luke warm water . I do stringing but not sure where you are . I would look in phone book for doll repair or hospital
It should not cost than 25 dollars or less . She is cute doll for displaying :-)
Efesgirl I had several vintage Barbies at one time I have passed on to my daughter she collects them now . I still belong to some Barbie sites , do you collect vintage or modern Barbies ?
