Looking for a little education. My newly acquired button, and much needed staple for any Coke collector, has AM94X. Anyone know what the 'X' stands for on the makers mark? I'm familiar with Allen Morrison Co. I believe 94 is month and year in the 50's...i.e. September (9) 1954 (4) but I can't find anything on the 'X'. A batch letter maybe? I've read a dot after the numbers puts the sign in the 60's?? But haven't seen anything on the X. Thanks for any help and happy new year all!
It's part of the production code and I don't think you're going to have any luck determining whether it has significance. I have the same button marked AM 84 X and a fishtail AM 20. I seem to recall looking into it and coming up dry.
Thanks Daddy. I'm coming up dry too. Sometimes you have to just stop asking and start enjoying!
The only thing you need to know is Cole Is It!
Or Coke rather,,lol
Very true Signaholic!
Easy to enjoy a nice old button like this one!
X marks the spot in your collection. Corny...yes but nice sign!
