I found this item last week and even though I promised myself not to buy any large items, I couldn’t pass up this one. I guess I will find a spot for it somewhere.
It is really pretty and in good condition. There is a bit of wear on the gold but no cracks or chips.
Anny comment would be greatly appreciated.

Well, that's interesting......
TallCakes identified a bowl shaped like this one recently, could be the same maker, different decor, let me see if I can find it and will post the link here. Of course, if Sir TC sees it, he may be better able to help. :)
Very nice Freiheit :)...I think they are just called "float" bowls for large single flowers like Gardenias, Roses, and Mums etc. really anything that lacks a stem and can just float on the surface.
Hm, well, the maker is Davidson but I didn't see any decor similar to this. TallCakes might have another company in mind.

Thanks for your comment and link, katherinescollections. I can see some similarities in the shape but my "thingy" seems to be plain glass that was later decorated. I doesn't have the nice colour like the ones in the link.
