    Not knowing alot about this piece but my estonian grandmother gave it to me, she told me it was from the baltic sea and highly valuable , ive weighed this necklace and it weighs 100 grams, measures 65cm in length , it also has a unique clasp .not sure if it is amber?

      It could be amber. Not possible to identify it by photos because amber is very easily faked. You should take it to a reputable jewelry shop or a shop that deals specifically with gemstones and let someone there look at it.

      The clasp is called a fishhook clasp. You squeeze the ends of the "U" and push it into the other end of the clasp until it clicks.
