I bought some old quilts in New York City back in the early 1970's at an antique/used furniture shop. One quilt was red and white, one was composed of isosceles triangles. When I went to pay, the salesman insisted I take a third one for an additional $10.00. I did not want it but in the end I took it. This quilt had 4 panels of small squares, two panels of a mourning fabric and a center panel of an aqua floral chintz. The chintz panel was totally inappropriate.

I wanted to use a quilt one summer when I was a nurse at a boys' camp. I took the mourning quilt as it was the least interesting. The chintz panel bothered me so much that I found similar fabrics and made a new panel of squares which I used to cover the chintz.

Fast forward 40 years. I decided to finish the actual quilting on the quilt and discovered it had never been completed. I also replaced some old worn squares with more of the fabric I used in my panel to unify the colors. The feed sack backing was well worn and the original printing faded. I have sent photos of the picture of the barn logo. There was some red around the border, anything more ? Ten inches below the logo
is written in black "The Flour of the Golden Glow". The third image is red and on a separate piece fabric. It seems that the color has run and it is difficult to read. I can make out what might be __?__ BLEACH There is only one line of this.

I sent an inquiry to Susan Miller of 'Vintage Feed Sacks' through Schiffer Publishing Ltd. in Atglen, Pa. But there never was a response. After going through Miller's book, I think my feed sack is much older than anything she had in her book.

I would like to embroider over the logo and writing in order to save it which is part of my inquiry.. Needless to say any date would be useful.
Can you help or find someone who can ?
