Found this in my Grandmother's cookie tin after she passed away. FUNERAL DEATH MEMORIAL CABINET CARD that was made for my 3rd. Great Grandmother that passed away in 1909. The card will be 107 yrs. old in July 2016. First time i had ever seen one of these cards. I love having it as i do a lot of research for my family tree. I thought it was quite a treasure to find. This card is about 4 & a half in. wide & 6 & a half in. tall.
The poem reads:
A precious one from us has gone
A voice we loved is stilled
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.
God in His wisdom has recalled
The boon his love had given
And though the body slumbers here
The soul is safe in Heaven.

Wow-- great to have a family piece!
These were popular in the late 19th century through the early 20th century. They are on cards the same size as cabinet cards. I have many, but none from my family.
Thanks for sharing.
