Mounted on the air manifold:
3" dia. Brass Lonergan Steam Whistle
2" dia. Brass Lonergan Steam Whistle
1"dia. Brass Lunkenheimer Steam Whistle
1 1/2 " dia. Lonergan Steam Whistle
2" dia. Jenkins Bros. Steam Whistle
The red horn shaped whistle that is mounted on the manifold, is a Wolf whistle that was used on early auto intake manifolds. The turbine type whistle mechanism is turned 180 deg. then reinstalled to operate on air pressure.
The first whistle on the red background is another 2" Jenkins Bros. Steam Whistle.
The other whistle on the red background is, I was told, a motorcycle exhaust line whistle. By pulling on the ring at the top of the whistle, the pitch varies as the ring is pulled higher. This Whistle has a nickel plated brass tube and a nickel plated elbow. I bought this whistle at the Hershey Auto Show from a dealer in the flea market.
Never fail to surprise !
