Thought this was interesting. Found among family photo's. I actually have my Great Uncles Distinguished Unit Badge- For an entire unit-"Outstanding in action". He was a Pvt. in the Infantry Division as a communication lineman in Germany. As an individual he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with an Oak Leaf Cluster that means the 2nd. time at the age of 19 in 1945. His Division went through five major campaigns in Europe during World War 11. They were awarded 5 Bronze Stars as a unit.
He had a brother that was killed in action in North Africa at the age of 21 in 1943 & his remains were not returned to the family until 1950. A third brother was stationed in the Southwest Pacific.
I love the illustrations & ribbons.
racer4four, Thanks for the appreciation.
Thanks you for your family's sacrifice in preserving our Nation!
Nice that you have this family treasure. Do you have his uniform or any other items of service?
The ribbon is now called the Presidential Unit Citation (PUC).

scottvez, Thank you for the kind appreciation for our family's sacrifice. No, I don't have anything else that belonged to him. Good info to know the ribbon is now called the PUC.
