I bought this poor art deco bangle yesterday. It was lacking almost all of its chrome finish, leaving the copper underneath exposed almost everywhere. It looked really awful, so I bought it for a very good price. Normally I wouldnt buy jewelry in such a bad shape, but I got on with the job and today its already looking much better (last 2 pics are'before' pictures). I dont know how to repair a chrome layer, but I had some silver plating material in my repair drawer so I put layer on top of layer of tiny silver particles on it. Still some work to do but its already wearable, showing its former beauty. Its not marked, but I really love this art deco bangle. It reminds me of Jakob Bengel jewelry.
Hope you like it!
Oh! Beautiful deco bracelet!
I have a silver lotion, called "Medallion Liquid Silver Lotion" which coud give it a plus silver shine, even if not chrome :-)
It works on copper or brass, but sometimes not... Mysterious!
What silver plating did you use?
You can see the result on a cheap costume brooch there:

Yes! Similar stuff :-)
Don't hesitate to apply several times (after a good degreasing wash!)...
I can't still understand why it sometimes don't work on copper!
Oh I spend yesterday most part of the afternoon applying several layers...till my bottle was finished ;-) it works great! Bracelet looks so much better than it was when I bought it
Looks mostly like Bengel, nice design and colors. You learned a good shop from Kyratango.
