I purchased this about 13yrs ago.
Tiger head and claw feet
Wood type? maybe tiger oak ? not sure
looks to be late 1800 to early 1900
My friends parents were having a garage sale and he called me to tell me about a couple of pieces (he knows I love the old) ;)
I purchased this for $45.00 and a Lane chest for $25.00.
Wish I had the keys but they never found them.
Need to replace casters one is missing.
This piece is posted in some of my Christmas postings but
thought I would share now that I have removed all the items off of it.
Very heavy and when we moved here 9yrs ago my husband said he would never move this again, that he would cut it up first...well that will never happen!!
Gorgeous.
What a beautiful piece at an INCREDIBLE buy!!! You did really good!
Scott thank you
it was a buy I couldn't refuse.
It was hell getting it out of that garage but well worth it to me.

Thank you for the comments
Are you serious.....replace the casters????????? Casters speak for the age and the ones you have are probably worth more than the $45 you paid as they appear to be original.

if I could find a 4th one like these I would definitely buy it.
I would never throw the three away I would save them due to the fact they are original.
But I'm not able to move this piece around because the one is missing.
We are preparing to redo the hardwood floors and I need to be able to move this buffet around with ease....
Beautiful piece with wonderful carving Melanie! Love it!
Rick thank you
for the comment and love.
Gorgeous buffet, wow!! And a steal of a deal! :)
I know what you mean about the casters, my grandfather's bed is in storage simply because I have three casters and can't seem to find a fourth. :(
