My mother recently passed and she always kept this seal with glass globe in her living room. Sometimes she had a plant in it and one time she even kept a fish in it. Was just trying to figure out where it came from. It's greatest value is purely sentimental.
I think it is a fabulous piece of Japanese ceramic and glass. It is gorgeous and how lucky are you to have it's memories as well.
