This is one of my most confusing pieces, I think it is african, it is only small, roughly 4.5in x 3in, I particularly like the underneath, the quality of the wood looks amazing.

Beautiful. Most of the trinket boxes I have seen which are similar to this one were in Turkey.
Just googled "1800 Turkish Trinket Box" wow - check out that one on ebay for £100+ (gobsmacked) well done!
