These are majestic, ribbed and iridescent all over!
Picture one shows just how far the flowers protrude from the vases.
Picture two shows the daffodil in detail.
Picture three shows the iridescence on the body of the vases.
Picture four shows more clearly how one vase shines mostly blue and the other mostly gold.
I bought these knowing that they have rim chips, but feel their other attributes outweigh this. I know others will not agree......
Height 25 cm./10 inches Base Diameter 11 cm./4.25 inches
These are both incredible Sklo. I'd never pass these up in a million years chips or not. I have very few pieces that are perfect pottery or glass. They deserve to be rescued and I know serious collectors might find this objectionable but they usually have so many pieces already they can afford to be picky. It's amazing that the damage is only to the rims and not the flowers. Great find !
Thank you, mikelv. Damage is a very individual thing.....but I doubt I'll ever see another pair and certainly not at an affordable price! I've put them on the hearth and the chips don't show......a window sill would be a different matter!
Peggy, what a beautiful pair, totally agree with Mike comment.
They fine a good home, lovely pieces of glass.
Regards
Alan
Thank you, Alan. I simply couldn't resist them :)
Gorgeous pieces.
Thank you, martika, for your lovely comment!
you are a great observer, yes it is surprising in the last picture the different color
kivatinitz......I do appreciate your compliment:)
Beautiful peggy! They would look great with the double thorn vase!
scott
VERY BEAUTIFUL!!
Scott.....thanks. They are in the same room, but a little apart as they dwarf almost every thing else!
SEAN, from someone with such a good eye your comments are always welcome!
Your very welcome Sklo!!!
Hi Peggy, I almost bought these myself but was saving for something else. Well done, I think they're terrific despite the damage. I'd never seen daffodils before.
They're extraordinary : colours ,daffodiles, irisation, shape and photos that underline all attributes.Tremendous!
Vintagefran.....I'm very pleased you were otherwise occupied :)
Ivonne, Glad you see what I see.....and thank you for saying so :)

Majestic! Nancy
I think their beauty is not affected by chips at all. They are so wonderful!
Thank you CardinalLady, they are indeed!
Hi Karen.....my view of chips varies with the desirability and/or the rarity of the item. The fact that there was a pair also came into play this time!
I have no regrets and do appreciate your comment :)
Many thanks, Justanovice, Manikin, VioletOrange, CardinalLady, racer and LovelyPat for the loves.
What a lovely pair Peggy! I love how the simple lines of the vases are contrasted by those over-the-top flowers! Striking!!
Hi Rick.....Nothing but a simple background would do with those flowers!
Thank you, Rick, Moonhill, IanBrighton, CindB and inky for the loves.
