I was always so jealous of others who made nice finds at thrift shops. Well, I still am, but I finally made a couple finds myself. Two different shops on the same day. That won't happen again. The trivet on the left is a Mrazek tile, my specialty, the other is a Moorcroft footed tumbler(?). Both great condition.
A better picture added of the trivet and bottoms of both per Sean's request. I should have done that to begin with. The Moorcroft label is paper. The trivet is not marked. This was not uncommon, but it would have originally had felt on the bottom which may or may not have been marked with the ink Mrazek mark. I have some of each. Although rare, the trivets may have an impressed mark.
stunning thrift store finds !!! the thrifts up here have been very dry for the last few months!!
can we see the if these are signed on the bottom!!
Thankyou fishiowa!!
I love the Moorcroft itself and also that it still has the paper label which of course is very old. Magic!
I love the tumbler! Beautiful design
Lovely piece of Moorcroft.
This label dates it to 1953-1978. The hibiscus series was designed by Walter Moorcroft in 1949 but I think this is the later draft from 1960.
