I have had this wonderful piece for 10+ years and never been able to find out anything about the artist. It measures 14 x 12 inches and is signed and numbered. I love the lines and design of it. It is very well framed and has such character.

      Hello

I would think that the 8 stands for the month and 81 the year.

Usually when it is a print they are using a pencil to sign it.

Thanks Matisse. That makes since. Guess I was excited to share. Would not make much since to have 81 unless the 81st was just represented of the 1st they decided to keep and make another 80 (lol)

Matisse is correct, if it stood for a limited edition they usually put that in opposite corner in pencil.
