I acquired this through a series of fortunate events. I don't know much about it. My Grandfather has been a wood worker his whole life and didn't know what kind of wood it's made out of. He stands about 3-1/2 foot tall, all out of one piece of wood. The base of the carving seems to be in a heart shape, he is holding what I believe to be a musical shaker of some sort, has a cross and serpent spiraling up it. Anyone out there who could give me any kind of information; it'd be most appreciated.
