UPDATE2: I do not believe these are vintage Bauer. Found what is supposed to be a vintage Bauer mark, see pic 4; My plates do not have the U.S.A. (with the periods), nor do I have the dots to complete the circle of the mark. :(
Oh well, live and learn! Not certain if these are actually fakes, or if they are from the newly revived Bauer, prior to their markings of "Bauer 2000". If I am incorrect here, or need correction on any of this, please feel free to let me know!! Always trying to educate myself!
UPDATE1: Just found a reference stating "mint green" was released in the 1950's. Please share your opinions with me, or correct me if need be; thanks!
Original Post: Is it possible to date this mark? I have 6 of these, 9 1/4" each. These were given to me several years ago by a friend, who had them in the "throw away" pile. I use them daily, had no clue they were collectibles. In my research, I see that there are fakes being made -- how would I know? If these are, indeed Bauer, I guess I need to put them in a safe place and stop using them as daily ware, right?
Katherine, thanks! Just updated, believe these would be dated 1950's.
Don't think I've ever seen this Bauer stamp on vintage plates, could be a current hallmark, as they are producing Bauer again, or as you say, fake vintage? I hope you can find out!
From what I have read, when the company that bought the Bauer molds realized there were fakes being made, they started putting "Bauer 2000" on theirs. So, I don't know if mine are the "new Bauer prior to the 2000 mark", or fakes LOL. Mine could very well be fake, any suggestions how to prove or disprove?
Nicefice, thank you for loving!
Mikelv85, thank you, appreciate it!
Rick55, thanks for the love, appreciate it!
Bladerunner22, thank you, appreciate it!
Thanks Aura!
The only way I can think to suggest is to compare your hallmark to the known hallmarks, there are sites that show the vintage Bauer pieces and their marks, if yours doesn't match, could be it isn't genuine?
Katherine, I fear you may be right about these being a knock-off and not vintage. I found a mark yesterday, I'll have to post the picture of it. Apparently, there were periods between the U, S, and A -- mine do not have periods. Also, seems there were two large "dots" between Bauer and Los Angeles (I guess to "complete the circle") -- mine don't have that either! I will mark these as "not vintage" Bauer. Should I leave them posted, so others may learn from it? Being fairly new here, not so sure of the rules and regulations!
And thanks, Sean! Sad news to report though, I don't believe they're "vintage".
Knock-offs! See update #2!!
The thing is, Bauer used so many hallmarks, I wouldn't completely rule yours out yet. There's a more complete archive here, and probably more on other sites. Hang in there, you never know!:

Katherine, as always, thank you so much; you are always so helpful to me and I appreciate it greatly! Going to have a look at that website!
Still trying to figure this one out, real or repro LOL. Manikin, thanks for the love, much appreciated!
Thanks Rick55!
