Ok, so I'm not a collector of Pyrex (yet). But it so happens that the only two pieces I own, I discovered recently, are from the "ugliest pattern" Pyrex ever put out there LOL. I did not select these - they were a gift. When I was moving into my first apartment in my teens (in the '70's), a lady I worked with had just gotten married and had tons of gifts she'd "never get to use", so she donated this to my cause. She also gave me a set of something else, I'll have to dig it out and see if I should post.
CindB, thanks! Wasn't expecting too much love on this post; not too certain anyone who has this pattern puts it out there and brags about it, LOL. But, it's Pyrex......haha, not my fault their designer bombed on this one. (correction to my initial post, I do own more modern day Pyrex, all clear glass; just don't have any other vintage pieces)
mikelv85, thanks for the love-appreciate it!
Nicefice, thank you very much, I'm getting more loves on this post than I thought I'd get LOL; Aura, thanks as always for your love & support!
I once dug up a peach-coloured Pyrex bowl with clear glass bottom. LOL.
It cleaned up well and is back in use.
Thus shows the quality of their product, that it would last.
These are -- Old Orchard Cinderella Pattern by Pyrex.
They are very autumnal - I like them!
Truth be told, these have been in daily use in my kitchen(s) since the '70's and have held up unbelievably well, (zero chips, nicks, cracks) leading me to SpiritBear's comment (thank you) of how great the Pyrex quality is! Nuts, thanks - I don't really think they're ugly either, an article I read recently told me they were LOL. Loveginger, thanks for the ID, I will add that to the post title. Racer4four, thank you for your support also! Now that I've discovered they are on their way to "vintage", I have tucked them away in a safe place; have plenty enough modern ware to use in their place. Thanks all for the love and support -- I'm pleasantly surprised of the attention this post received!
Rick55, thank you!
Thank you very much, Sean!
