This round rose bowl is made of clear glass and ?vaseline? glass. I think it's probably Art Nouveau but I don't know whether it's Bohemian or British. Help!
I recently posted a rose bowl and said...."There are no more". One CW member commented...."We shall see"....no doubt he'll be smiling now! However I'd never seen anything like it before so here we are.
Picture three shows it beside a Harrach rose bowl, however the green of the vaseline glass is not the same.
Picture four shows it with some other round rose bowls of mine and you can see that 'round' in this context is a very flexible word.
Height 12 cm./4.75 inches Diameter 14 cm./5.5 inches
Beautiful glass-- esp. love the harrach example in pic #3.

Thanks scott.....probably always going to overshadow the rest!
Many thanks, mikelv, Efesgirl, vetraio and welzebub, for the loves.
Such an interesting color Peggy... In the first pic, it reminds me of a piece of nicely carved light jade. It's a lovely, unique piece! Oh my... and that Harrach bowl... WOW!
I actually really like the geometrics of the pattern on this one - in the vaseline glass it looks fab.
My question is: how good would the roses have to be to not be overshadowed by any of these bowls?
what awonderful display
@Rick, also the uniformity in size and spacing of the panels suggests great skill....random patterns are much less demanding!
@ Karen, I simply don't know as I have non collection vases for roses etc.!!
@ kivatinitz, what a pleasing compliment....thanks :)
