Thank you so much for posting these treasures for me. I saw them first thing but had to go out.....
In pic. one I particularly love the double thorn and the tall green ribbed vase because their applied flowers are pink!!!
In pic. 2 I notice that the white petals on the pink vase with feet look to be very like the blue petals I have on a Kralik floriform. You don't see many of these so it's good to see and to compare.
In pic. three I get a better view of the the vase with a blue lattice pattern and applied flowers. I particularly love that one.
Then pic. 4 has two gorgeous rose bowls and the pink/white frilly vase and ALL with applied flowers. All of them a sheer delight.
Are these your absolute favourites, with the lesser liked in the cabinet....just wondering. Or do they all get a turn in pride of place?
Peggy
Peggy, thank you for your detailed comments. The cabinet has more infact its bursting, all my cabinets are now full. I need new ones but as I will be moving once I sell my house I cannot justify buying another one as I'm unsure what I will be moving in to and if another cabinet would fit!
Yes the green one in the first pic and the ribbed dual Thorn and the white petalled vase have all been identified in Butler Brothers so I'm thrilled to see that. Never doubted they'd be original but sometimes you do wonder......
Are these my favourites? Some are, some are there because of groupings. I dont really have definitive favourites because as soon as I start selecting them they all seem to get grouped in to the favorites group...I suppose this; recently I went to cull some vases as I am going to sell some. These are not in the selling group. Some I've removed and taken back as I could not stand to sell.... It's hard to pick favourites for what is a favourite? For what reason; colour, style, maker, the glass, the cleverness; the nature upon which it was urchased, the rarity....so many factors can a favourite make...
What a gorgeous collection. I love the applied flowers. I can't decide which I like best, I love them all. Though I must say I do like the blue and custard rose bowls in the last picture :)
Yes Fran they are divine. The custard one is a treat at the stems and branches light up.....
