Hi all! I'm new to this site and I'm looking forward to sharing with those who have the same passion for collecting great stuff! This vase is 5" tall and 2.5" wide. It is uniques with its triangular shape instead of square. I was wondering if anyone can tell about how old it is.

    Many thanks,

    Jj

HI again. I agree. This is beautiful! One of my favorites. Anyone know about how old this is?

      Thx!

As to how old your pretty vase is, what I see are characteristics that seem to be common to Chinese pieces made during the 1960s-1980s:
Vibrant orange enamel (developed during the early 1970s)
      Cobalt blue enamel
The enamel is fire-polished - i.e., it has not been ground down after firing, but has been left glossy as it came from the kiln. One can see this on small cloisonne purses that seem to date from the 1980s, doll house tea sets, animal figurines...
Verdigris on metal. For some reason, a copper alloy used during these decades seems prone to verdigris - one encounters it often on small pendants and bottles, for example.
