I have this necklace that I wonder about. I don´t know what kind of beads it is or where it´s from. I belive it is glassbeads. It's quite heavy. I'm certain it's not plastic. The beads almost looks like pools of light. They magnify a bit. They are shimmering in a blue/purple color. I have never come across this sort of necklace before.

You can not see all threw the bead when it's laying on a surface, only when you hold it to the light.
    Length: 21 cm
    Weight: 73 grams
    Beads are 1 cm
Boxclasp of brass, spirals on the end of the side of the clasp, small glassbeads or stones in the clasp.
    Knots between beads.

All information I can get is helpfull, thanks!

Bladerunner thankyou for coment and love. These are not lucite though, it's glass or stone. Most likely glass.

Thankyou kyratango! I will look into it. :)

Hi Elisabethan, my first reaction when I saw your beads, like Kyra has said, they could be Ikora beads. They have a pearl glow about them. The clasp is all wrong but somebody could have changed the chain and clasp.
    11. Elisabethan Elisabethan, 9 years ago
Hello peasejean thankyou for attention :). Ikora is new to me. I have tryed to read today what I've found online but that's not always trustworthy. I can see the similarities in the beads but yes, the clasp looks wrong. Could have been changed or this is something else. I see the details on the side of the clasp, the spirals that support the thread, as an interesting details. I see the same detail in a necklace posted here recently.

... Yes a blue necklace posted by AuntMolly. That necklace has another clasp though.

    15. Elisabethan Elisabethan, 9 years ago
Dear CW fellows! Sorry for late answer, which happens now and then beause of how my life is at the moment. Please know I´m really greatful for your advice and nice and interesting coments! I´m looking into the Ikora as the alexandrite... As soon as I can get hold of the right lamp to test for alexandrite I will let you know. Thankyou!

Thanks. Yes it has turned into bead week :) Ms.ChrystalShip. Yes these are puzzeling.
Maybe glassbeads made to look like Alexandrite stone? I don't know the weight of the stone but these are heavy.
