This armoire was in bad shape and was being thrown away. I saved it and restored it. It is stamped "WARDROBE Catalog no. 479". It is 4' wide x 6' high.
It has an unusual feature. The top and bottom are held to the main body by steel cleats that wedge the pieces together. (See pictures) Remove the four cleats and the whole unit comes apart. No nails or screws.
Has anyone seen this technic used before. Any idea who made/sold this type of armoire.
