Vintage Brass Torchieres - Need Help with Identification

This set of two brass torchieres, with no identifying marks (yes, I looked everywhere), may date to the 1930s. I say this only because the electrical plugs/wiring appear to date from that era. However, it may not be the original wiring as we are not the original owners.

I took one of the torchieres to the Portland OR antiques road show, thinking I could get help there. However, the appraiser to whom I was directed was not very interested.

These torchieres stand about 6 feet tall and are heavy. Has anyone seen lamps like this before anywhere? Perhaps similar design motifs but in a different package, like a table lamp? Thanks in advance for any help.
