The modern factory built in 1928 still stands today used for office space.
The evidently made hard candies and cookies as noted by these "tins" I found on eBay. They even made a brass tin for the one pound chocolates.
I can remember working over near Sullivan Sq. in Charlestown, Mass. (part of Boston) at night in the early 1980's and just being able to smell chocolate in the air. The factory was still producing product and it was almost as enjoyable to just breathe the chocolate vapors as to eat them. And no calories !
I still want to know about the dishes ? Other ice cream chains also had food like Howard Johnson's, Brigham's and Bailey here in Boston. They probably "monogrammed" their dishes. I have a Bailey's Ice Cream Parlor Soda glass which celebrated their 100th year--Bailey's 1880 to 1980.
