My favourite fabric on my favourite slipper chair

I found this in a tiny town thrift store for $20 and I couldn't pass it up. I've meant to revamp it, but this fabric has grown on me & I get the feeling that I'd be sorry if I did. I've searched for similar items & fabrics & didn't really come up with any info on this item at all? No dates or names & im not really sure it's a slipper chair, wish it could talk!
