I'm new to collecting and need some help ID'ing this. Curious as to the era this is from and exactly what it is used for- wood?

Appears to be a tomahawk and is of recent manufacture. The back spike is for fighting. The versions with no back spike would be used as a hammer although either could be used for combat.
Looks to be the Vietnam Tomahawk sold by Cold Steel.
