This is a lighter which says it was made for the Veterans of WW2.
I cannot find anything on the net similar to this.

The symbol is the "ruptured duck"-- the insignia worn by Honorably Discharged veterans of WW2.
The lighter style looks like late 40s- 50s.

Jim, The lighter shown has the same emblem on it that was made to be attached to a serviceman's uniform after his service in the Army or the Army Air Corp, during the WWII period, I believe. One was with some of my father's items from that time period. It's called "The Ruptured Duck" and is usually on a diamond shaped O.D. in color cloth patch. The fact that it's a lighter is likely for showing your service to your country. Hope that will help you.
