Here is another vase in the same décor as the goblet shaped vase I posted previously.
The rims of both reveal that both are made of four layers of glass plus mica inclusions somewhere.
The bases show that the stripes/lines go down then continue under the base. This is the way Welz made stripes/lines....nor is it unusual that the meeting of the lines on the base is off-centre. The black circle on one base is merely a stain between layers of glass.
Height 20 cm./8 inches

And thereby hangs a tale, Karen.....the seller had two, I opted to buy only one, the seller sent the wrong one but then offered a deal if I took two, which I did. All negotiated by the awesome New Zealander who then suggested delaying despatch to avoid the Christmas Post!
