Edith Bouvier Beale was born on November 7, 1917 in New York City. A cousin of First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, she was known as "Little Edie" (a socialite and model). A 1975 documentary entitled Grey Gardens and a later film made the pair cult figures and fashion icons. Edie died in 2002.
I am so thrilled to have this Valentine for I am fascinated with Edie Beale. This handmade Valentine was sent to a dear friend of hers who was kind enough to share some of these with the world. I thank him for his kindness and want to share this special Valentine for Valentine's Day.
Edie and her mother lived in the same area as my "Green Lady" previously posted.
brunswick, Thank you! Happy Valentine's Day!
Wonderfully appropriate !
Love her script too, very artistic :-)
kyra, Thank you! I think that she is wonderful!
Wow you need to frame this in a glass frame so you can view from both sides. Like the one I put my boxing poster in:)

Trey, Many thanks for the comment and the link. I love the poster and the way that it is framed!
Yes, I love them and was thrilled to get this card. The person who owned it and knew Edie is a wonderful person also! Thank you!
