Not at all fond of marcasite jewelry, though very pretty, it is very fragile, stones always missing or falling...
But I had to get this old watch, in PERFECT condition, nothing missing and... it runs perfectly :-)
What a setting work and beautiful design!
The movement is only marked "Swiss made", box is marked on the rim 925 and an unknown maker's mark as shown in pic#4.
For $45... Think I got a bargain :-D
I really like this....fancy.
Very nice ! Love it :-)
You did well! Your watch is quite unique. I am not a fan of marcasite anymore, either, but I still bought those .935 silver earrings yesterday... :-)
Lol, CW team re categorised it as WRISTWATCH !
Melanie, yes fancy! Thank you :-)
Manikin XOXO, thank you !
Bonnie, I love your earrings too, thank you !
Midnight, Aura, Trey, Fortapache, many thanks for your visit and love :-D
Beautiful Kyra :)...the marcasites do look set instead of glued. Probably why they are all still there.
Yes Mike, they are set, which is even more difficult as marcasites are soft and crush very easily.
Kudos for your sense of observation, and thank you for your interest and love :-D
This is a really unusual piece Kyra. I would love to wear this (and the constant comments lol)
Hi Kyra, Cool item! The mark is the London Import Mark from 1907 and later, see: http://www.vintagewatchstraps.com/importmarks.php
Oh, thank you so much Paul! I'm not familiar with these import marks, great link!
Racer, many thanks too for your kind comment :-)
Beautiful.
Thank you all 19 lovers :-)
Phil, thank you for your visit and appreciation :-)
Valentino! Thanks! amazing, it has even not been serviced! I wear it on a jade beads necklace :-)
