More glass today from Salvation. I found this nice signed piece of Orrefors crystal. It's a tiny paperweight size vase designed by Sven Palmquist a designer for the company from 1928-1971. This piece dates to 1960. It's very thick and heavy. It weights almost two pounds at just 4.5 " tall. It was a bit dirty on the inside but no damage and signed "S" Orrefors PU 3632 along the outside edge of the bottom. It will fit in well with my paperweight collection. -Mike-
Oooooh, lucky you! That's very nice.
Thanks Bonnie...but this isn't the best thing today . :)
LOL yes, I just saw the best thing, all dressed in green....
I said "green" because "turquoise"doesn't rhyme...
:-D
You are on a roll today!
Thanks Bonnie and MFT....days like this don't happen very often but when they do.... ; D
Really? Palmqvist is so pricey here - you probably paid a coffee for it.
Very mid century and coooool.
Thanks Karen.....just about right.... under three dollars....lol. :) The few I looked at online were going for around fifty.
NICE VASE!!
Thank you Sean..I thought of you when I bought it. It's so you ! :)
Your very welcome Mike!!! Thanks !!
I agree , it is me !!!
The moon and stars are must be shining on you. I love your SEAN find. :)
Thank you One...but you know there are a lot of days in between that are like a total eclipse...lol.
Thomas I finally understand what was going on. I read your comments to Karen and Caper. I was shocked to see your posts disappearing one by one. I did see that article and I thought "Oh no wait till Thomas sees this !" but I had no ideas that this was going to be the end result . I looked forward to your posts every day and your enthusiasm for what you love. Every once in a great while we have drama here on CW and because of it we lose a lot of kind and knowledgeable people. In time some do return but it always distresses me to see my friends leave. You were a great new friend Thomas and still are. You take care and know you do have friends here who will miss you very much. -Mike-
