61cm tall statue and the base is 7cm bought in an charity shop. An english guy bought it overseas and said its very old. Thats all I know. Very heavy and appears to be made of a stone. Inscribed on the base. Can anyone read old Chinese? The base where chipped is a white product with shiny quartz pieces all through it.

This unusually large resin composition figure is not Guanyin (also Quan yin) who is the Goddess of Mercy, but may represent emperor Qianlong of the Qing dynasty. It is likely one of a pair, and a unique depiction.
The mark may be one of four forms that are read as 'Ivory Master', and the figure would have been made in Italy. I have seen many such forms, vases and figures, the earliest dating to about 1920. I think this figure dates before that, and is the earliest I have seen.

As far as I know, comments to your post should show up in your email without any further effort on your part. Hey, CW posters, have I got this right?
