    Coke n Pepsi picnic coolers1950's, just bought yesterday.(thinking of refinishing, any thoughts?) Coke made in Toronto and Pepsi made in Louisville KY. Anyone that knows anything on these feel free to say

      Very nice! I have a Pepsi one. From the pics they both look pretty good. The Coke kinda looks like it might have been repainted once. I personally would not refinish them. I like the old look. But that's just me. For future resale, original condition is best. Thanx for sharin!

      Nice, eh ! And I wouldn't refinish either. No matter how good a restoration is, it still shows to the real collectors. Is there a recognized old Coke sign/cooler red paint ?

      Not sure about a recognized red paint but if you look at my other items I have a cooler that I had redone which looks close but I'm not sure if it is a red just for coke

      Hey! I'm a purist ! If I can't restore something without it showing, I figure it's best left alone. Problem with doing it right, always means stripping the whole bloody thing ! Bon chance.
